We are a D.I.Y. blog/zine collective based in Los Angeles, California. We promote skateboarding, music, equality, community, homies, graffiti, art, peace, and Anarchism. Heavy In Da Streets is a site that branched out from an older site, Abstracted Minds. This site(HIDS) was started as a direct opposition toward the authorities criminal views and treatment toward skateboarders. Therefor: We Love Skateboarding & Hate Authority. Our message is that social change is possible and we want people to think for themselves. Also, Skate or Die.
