R.I.P. Beau Velasco From The Death Set

Yesterday Johnny Sierra from The Death Set Confirmed that Beau Velasco(co-founder of The Death Set) had passed away in a twitter update saying "R.I.P. my dear brother, friend and band mate Beau Velasco. For all those who wish to pay their respects I will let know details soon." This came as a great shock to all of us down here @ The Heavy In Da Streets compund because we are all big Death Set fans and have been to a couple of their shows out here in LA.

"At the moment, there are not many details available about the circumstances of his passing," Jonathan Shedletzky, the band's manager, told Spinner of Velasco's untimely death. "His friends and bandmates are currently gathered together in Brooklyn remembering Beau. As soon as there is more information, including on services to be held, we will definitely make them known."

Little Brother/Rap-Lies=Hip Hop!

Ive been a big fan of Little brother for a minute now and I got to admit, these dudes are real. I am real glad I was able to attend a show they played in Hollywood last year. I took some pics from the show via my mobile but that shit broke. I really like the idea of how their name came to be. They had said that groups like De la soul, Tribe called Quest, etc, were like their bigger brothers so they were like the little brothers of that hip hop movement. The Informant!

I actually just got home from watching "The Informant" Starring Matt Damon and I found the movie to be pretty epic. The movie is based on true events that happened to Mark Whitacre (Played by Matt Damon) and his contribution to the ADM Price-fixing conspiracy (google dat shit) . Its pretty crazy, the dude had a bi polar disorder so he lied a shit load and ends up in prison. The movie is pretty crazy and you gotta see it for yourself. Go watch it, its fucking great. Peep da trailer.

Ok first of all Fuck MTV and the VMA's im just excited because Indie Bands such as Matt & Kim need exposure. Yupp! Matt and Kim have won a VMA for break through video for their music video "lessons learned"!!!! I have been a big fan of Matt & Kim for a while now and a substantial amount of douchebags have never heard of Matt & Kim but, I for one am glad that they are finally getting the exposure they deserve. So i have known Talina for quite a while now and It is pretty fucked up that you are gone but you were a super dope friend and I will miss you dearly. We had some good times and it really suxx that I wont be able to see you again cuz we had been planning to hang out again cuz we hadnt hung out in a good while. Well I hope you have found peace.
This was the day me and Talina went to da Fairfax flee market and then she hooked it up because i had absaloutly no money so she took me to go see da biggie movie and she taught me how pay less to watch a movie. Oh yeah we made fun of the random dude who took the photo above because he was really weird and kooky and he looked like Napolean dynomite. Yeah we had an awesome day. Im really going to miss you Talina :((((

Last night me and my boy Tislam were bored and where waiting for my brother to come through to light up a spot, so we decided to film this fakie tre trick tip for www.abstractedminds.com check us out.
