10 Questios with Captain Incredible

CAPTAIN INCREDIBLE is a hard rocking, noise blasting quartet from Dallas, Texas. Born in the dormitories of Denton, Texas and raised on the shores of California, Captain Incredible now gladly calls North Dallas their home. They bring panty dropping guitar riffs, face melting solos, bone crushing drum beats, and one and a half balls worth of bass to each and every live performance. Check out Captain Incredible on myspace at www.myspace.com/captainincrediblerocks and follow them on twitter here!!!!

1) How you guys doing? How have the fans been reacting to your music?

Josh: All is well in Incredible City. Fan reaction has been mixed, depends on the audience. If we play a punk rock bill or to a rocker crowd, we get a lot of crowd participation: moshing, help singing back vocals, etc. But we can also scare the hell out of some emo and indie fans when we get booked on the same bill; I've heard we are abrasive on stage (that is a compliment to us).

Phipps: I like to abuse the fans, they seem to like it.

2)Do you guys have any big influences? If so who?

Josh: Op Ivy CD is almost always in rotation and really made me like punk rock when I was 12-13. I also really dig on Frank Black.

Ben: When I was in my teens I was way into Ween. I love random, drug induced, limitless music. Overall the Foo Fighters at the top of my list. Dave Grohl is such a phenominal song writer that it's hard to deny the power of the Foo.

Phipps: Led Zeppelin and Rancid

3)What category do you guys place yourself under?

Band: Too Punk for Metal, too Metal for Punk. For practicality sake, you could file our music under the rock or punk genres in a record store.

4)What is the message you spread through your music?

Josh: We want people to wake up, the music scene today seems to be all about fashion.

Ben: Fuck shoegazing! Get out there and rock your fucking ass off people! Let's have some fun before the world ends.

Phipps: fuck you!

5)What do you guys do to prepare for a show?

Josh: Drink beer and unload gear!

Ben: I like to drink gear and unload beer!

Phipps: drink 8 shiners, and don't eat before a show

6) What should people expect when going to one of your shows?

Josh: We always say "We specialize in Mayhem & Madness." But seriously speaking, we pride ourselves on being entertainers, we aim to incite the masses to do some damage.

Ben: Movement. I'm so tired of these bands that take themselves so seriously that they forget to have a good time on stage. We like to get wild and sweaty and we expect our crowd to feed off of that energy and follow suit. Also, we are very loud.

Phipps: ear-bleeds

7)Will you guys be playing in the westcoast anytime soon?

Josh: As of now we are not, I'd like to in Summer '10, but we need a West Coast Booking agent, ha, know any? Phipps and I lived in LA and SB for nearly 6 years so we have played West coast but we were only a two piece band then.

Phipps: i'd have to check with my P.O.

8) If you guys weren't making music what would you guys be up to?

Josh: Maybe we could all be knights at Medieval Times and kick the shit out of each other for a living; sounds like fun to me.

Ben: Playing video games and drinking beer.

Phipps: lighting bags of dogshit on people's porches

9) Got any new stuff in the works?

Band: Hell yes, always; we have plans to only release singles and EPs, that way we are constantly giving our fans fresh tracks to rock out to. We are dropping our first studio EP in January '10, you can listen to a rough mix of some of the tracks right now on our myspace page.

10)Thank for your time. Keep doing your thing and keep it Heavy In Da Streets! Any last words?

Band: Be Incredible to each other...

Phipps: shout to my west coast peeps: kenz, biz, prophet, ed weed, jai b, and lil get'em
